Garnet Hill Bunny Rug Knock-Off
Its hard to find great Easter decorations, but this little bunny spoke to me.
I got this gem of a frame at the goodwill for $5.99. I put on a coat of white paint on the canvas and the frame so that I could start fresh!
I began looking through my inpiration books ( I will be posting about those soon.), and I found this little guy in Garnett Hill. It was a rug, but I knew that I could make it work into a painting.
I painted the canvas rosemary green from Benjamin Moore. I added a little black to darken it some.
I was going to free hand him, but I had to substitute teach at school today and used their opaque projector. I love that little machine.
I blew it up and traced lightly in pencil. I know it is hard to see, but look very closely and the little bunny is peeking through. If you don't have an opaque projector laying around you could blow up a photo copy of the bunny to your desired size and cut out and trace.
I painted it with some acylic paints that I had on hand using my magazine pic as a color guide. Its almost like a paint by number. Anyone can do this! I painted the frame brookside moss from Benjamin Moore.
Have a great DAY!
