Chevron Bookcase Makeover

A friend of mine gave me this bookcase.  It was very simple, and basic, but had a LOT of potential!

I sanded everything down and painted with Benjamin Moore basic white.  They were phasing out this paint and I got each quart for $5 reg. $28.  SCORE!  I used basic white, Hale Navy, and Pewter.

Need a quick NO MEASURE & NO TAPE method for chevron?
Use an overhead projector and a chevron transperancy.

I drew in the pattern with pencil and then painted 2 coats of the pewter and navy.

My Dad made me some feet for my bookcase using some old 2x4s.  I bought these at Menards, but they just werent working for me.  This is just what it needed.

My boys were so excited to have their new shelf in their room.  They couldn't wait to help decorate!

Have a GREAT DAY!!
