Bullriding Cowboy T-Shirt Using a Photo and Freezer paper
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
I couldn't decide what to get my hubby for Valentine's...? He likes the PBR and bullriding. I looked around and found some bullriding long sleeve T's and hoodies for $40 or $50 bucks online. So I thought to myself...I can make that.
Hello freezer paper where have you been all my life.
I know I am WAY WAY behind all the other crafters out there but I kept seeing and hearing about this "shtuff" call freezer paper.
I dug out one of my husbands pics of his old bullriding days and made a copy to the size that i wanted.
Then with an exacto knife I cut around his body right on the photo copy with the freezer paper underneath.
I ironed into place and was ready to paint. I used black acrylic paint

It was a little difficult to tell but I just painted it on as evenly as possible. Less paint gives a more worn look, and more paint almost gives a little shine to it.
Let it sit and dry for 30 minutes and pull away freezer paper and you are done! I just saved $50 on the hoodie I would have bought and this is more personal since I used his pic.
Adorable, and so very nice to meet you. I had a newbie party going on, however, the link is having big time troubles...so check my blog tomorrow or later tonight.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome!! I think it's a much nicer shirt than one you would have bought!! I love it! I may need to try some of that freezer paper! You have a great blog...I'm a new follower.
